Taylor Swift Wins Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album and Announces New Album “The Tortured Poets Department”
Taylor Swift made a big announcement at the Grammy Awards ceremony, where she won the award for best pop vocal album for “Midnights.” In her acceptance speech, Swift revealed that her next studio album, titled “The Tortured Poets Department,” will be released on April 19th.
Swift, who jokingly mentioned that the number 13 is her lucky number, thanked her fans for their support and shared the exciting news about her upcoming album. She immediately took to Instagram to unveil the album artwork and share a handwritten note with poetic lyrics from the album.
The new album will consist of 16 tracks, with the vinyl, CD, and cassette editions featuring a bonus song called “The Manuscript.” Fans can also look forward to a collectible 24-page book-bound jacket with handwritten lyrics and never-before-seen photos.
Many fans were expecting Swift to announce the re-recording of her album “Reputation,” but instead, she surprised everyone with the news of “The Tortured Poets Department.” Swift’s yearlong victory lap also includes her record-breaking Eras Tour and upcoming concerts in Japan, Melbourne, Sydney, and the U.S. throughout 2024.
