Taylor Swift Announces New Album “The Tortured Poets Department” at 2024 Grammys
During the 2024 Grammys telecast, Taylor Swift not only took home the Best Pop Vocal Album award for “Midnights,” but she also made a big announcement. Swift revealed that her new album, titled “The Tortured Poets Department,” is set to be released on April 19.
The singer-songwriter’s eleventh album will feature 16 new songs, with an additional bonus track available on the physical edition. Swift wasted no time in unveiling the tracklist for the project, which includes collaborations with Post Malone on the opening track “Fortnight” and Florence + the Machine on “Florida!!!” at the eighth spot.
While some may be surprised by the limited number of collaborations on the album, it’s not unusual for Swift, who has a history of working mostly solo on her projects. Her previous album, “Midnights,” only featured one duet with Lana Del Rey.
Since the release of “Midnights” in fall 2022, Swift has been busy with re-recordings of her earlier albums and touring the world on The Eras Tour. At the Grammys, she not only won Best Pop Vocal Album but also claimed Album of the Year for “Midnights,” making her the first musician to win that prestigious honor four times.
With the anticipation building for “The Tortured Poets Department,” fans can expect another chart-topping success from Taylor Swift when the album drops in April.
