This new release has surpassed Swift’s own album “Midnights,” which previously held the title of the bestselling album of 2023 with 778,000 copies sold.

But the story doesn’t end there. Swift also lays claim to the third bestselling album of 2023 with “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” which had sold 742,000 copies by the end of October.

Not only is “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” a chart-topping success, but it has also become a power seller across all formats. The album shattered records by achieving the largest sales week ever for vinyl, with 580,000 copies sold on vinyl by November 2.

With “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” Swift is on track to secure the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, marking her thirteenth chart-topping release on the Billboard 200. Her incredible success in album sales is undeniable, and her trio of titles are sure to rank among the most popular of 2023.
