Taylor Swift Drops Six Unreleased Tracks on ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’

Taylor Swift Opens Up About New Songs on “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” Album

Taylor Swift has delighted fans with the release of six new songs on her re-recorded album, “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).” The singer-songwriter, 33, shared insights into the selection process in a reflective Instagram post, revealing that she had to be “ruthless” with her choices and left behind some songs she is still proud of. The new tracks, including “Electric Touch,” “When Emma Falls in Love,” and “Foolish One,” were originally left off her 2010 album.

Swift described the album as one she wrote alone about the experiences she had as a young woman between 18 and 20. She reminisced about the process of creating the album, obsessing over the tracklist to tell the story just right. The re-recorded album, done at 32, brought back memories that filled her with nostalgia and appreciation for her work.

The original “Speak Now” album, released in October 2010, was a reflection of Swift’s growth as a person and artist as she entered adulthood. The songs from that time were marked by brutal honesty, unfiltered confessions, and wild wistfulness, telling a tale of growing up, flailing, flying, and crashing.

Swift’s Eras tour, which features songs from “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” continues in Kansas City, Missouri. Fans can expect to hear not only the new tracks but also the original 16 songs that made the album a classic. Swift’s dedication to her craft and her fans shines through in this reimagined version of her beloved album.
